She's an idiot for running, and the cop is an even bigger idiot for thinking that a "pitt maneuver" was necessary and a feasible solution at 86+ mph.
He DEFINITELY did NOT do the right thing, and in my opinion should be punished accordingly. Why didn't they run her license and see that all she had was a suspended license?!? She was no cop killer, drug smuggler, nor was she pimping out pregnant teens. It wasn't worth the risk that cop decided to take. Hopefully that's on his conscious now though. Hopefully.
