Here is another little of interesting tech news involving T-Mobile and Cingular.

"T-Mobile USA, Inc. today announced it has entered into agreements with Cingular Wireless LLC ("Cingular") to terminate their wireless network sharing joint venture and for T-Mobile USA to acquire 100% ownership of the shared networks in California and Nevada for $2.5 billion."

Now only if T-Mobile could get some better coverage for my house in Aubrey TX (zip 76227 for any T-mobile engineers/execs out there) I'd be a happy guy.

Just to follow up on my previous post on the price of gasoline. Here is something else to think about. We all know that the volatility of the price of crude oil and the price of gasoline are closely related. This is because gasoline is refined out of crude oil. The weird thing is there are many other things that flow from refining towers. The main one I want to talk about is....motor oil. How many times have you gone into your local auto parts store and seen the price of motor oil change along with the market for crude? When I worked at a national auto parts store(which will remain unnamed), I didn't see any changes in the price of motor oil on a day to day basis. Why is this? Why would the price determination for two things coming from the same (crude oil), be so different? I don't know...I don't know...maybe it's just because it tastes so good....It just tastes soooo good.

Just some questions I ask myself before I fall asleep at night.

I just wanted to let everybody out there know that I'm currently using 11 MB (1%) of my 1000 MB of Gmail.

What is it with the letters "AT&T" and them screwing people???

Want to know why the price of gas is so high? I have one hint, it's not really so much oil supply as it is gasoline supply. Read about it here.

P.S. "The last new refinery in the U.S. was built in 1984 -- by Valero... What with all the environmentalists and not-in-my-backyarders, a new plant would take at least five years from groundbreaking to spigot-opening."
